| The "heart" of the crew |
Curtis met DJ BoBo for the first time in 1985 in a disco. After DJ BoBo's first (success less) single "I Love You" BoBo asked Curtis if he would like to join his project. From then on they were rehearsing all the time. They took every chance to give a live performance. These were the years when they learned most: performing in front of only a few people was very hard. Curtis wrote the lyrics for DJ BoBo's next single "Somebody Dance With Me". When Curtis was sitting in his car, he heard in the radio that their song had jumped right into the Swiss charts. He couldn't believe it. A dream has come true. Many gigs, TV shows, touring... Busy all the time. Because of that Curtis couldn't follow his original profession anymore. So he had to give up his job in a bank. In 1993 he decided to follow his career with DJ BoBo. In the past few years Curtis moved from a "simple" dancer to DJ BoBo's choreographer. He is responsible for choreographies of tours and TV shows, the choice of dancers and DJ BoBo's "Dance Factory" where everybody can learn the original steps of DJ BoBo. And on the top, he founded in 1997 his own dance school together with Daniel. Curtis discovered his talent for composing and producing. Besides the lyrics for "Somebody Dance With Me" he composed also "Let The Dream Come True" and made a remix for "Pray". At the moment he's following a solo project for singer Anthony Moriah who's on tour with the crew. |

| The Interview |
When did you meet DJ BoBo for the first time? I have known BoBo for Ages! Probably, about half my life or even longer. Tell us your favorite experience on stage. My favorite experience was our first performance at the Hallenstadion in Zurich. The audience sang 'Let The Dream' (I was the co-composer this song). That was way too much for me and I had to wipe away a tear of joy! Tell us your most embarrassing moment on stage. Many many years ago we performed at a small club in Deggendorf (Germany). Right in the middle of our performance my trousers tore - in the crotch!! Well, and everybody saw that…except me!!! What do you like most about the BoBo family? I like the meaning of the word "family" itself: this is my family! The most beautiful present you ever got from a fan? On the WIM tour I got a huge green dragon from a fan. I really loved that present. Your favorite choreography? I can't really answer this question. I created all the choreographies, and I think it would be awful if I preferred one of them. |
